Several readers have asked how I come up with ideas for Weirdles, and I thought – why not explain some of them in a bit more detail?

So, we’ve started a Weirdles Diary where I explain the backstory for some of my favorite panels.  When I post a new diary, I’ll mention it here.  In addition, I’ll include a bit of text below the panel and you can follow the link to read the rest.

For example, here’s the backstory behind Peanut Butter.  I think you’ll enjoy it … with more to come.

You never know when and where inspiration will strike.  In this case, it was at a Bismarck museum, the North Dakota Heritage Center.  And they have buffalo there.
